Many nation-states are setting up filtering and blocking systems 
that hinder the free flow of information. Could blogs be the solution?

	- you can use the internet without a proxy but you have to pay more.
	- you can get to certain sites unless you use a proxy
	- proxies are funded the government
	
Blogs come up higher on Google - showing that there are important issues 
going on in China.

How are blogs affecting Iranian life.

- Blogs have windows
	- they are showing a very raw & unfiltered information
	- iranians have more values that previous thought

- Foreign journalist are scared of bloggers
	- they don't always know what's important
	- they are usually behind because they aren't Iranian

- A lot of women are blogging
	- showing how they see the world
	- men don't know what they think and how they see the world
	- men and others can now see via blogging.

- Parent
	- parents can see what their children are doing

- Political bridge
	- breaking the border between the people and higher ups
	- polications now have blogs as well as the people
	- political debates are sometimes only able to happen via blogging
	
	
- Iranians ex-patriots
	- they live outside of Iran
	- often in the USA due to political issues
	- can keep up on youth and their country


- Weblog Cafed
	- people have equal say and discussion
	- like a coffee conversation online on issues
	- interactive medium
