Books & Reading

I try to spend quite a bit of time reading. I get excited about random subject at random times and try to read up on those topics before I become interested in something else.

It's not a very big list right now because I'm trying to remember which books I've gone through. I'm hoping this section will be ever growing. Feel free to suggest books for me to read.

Anyway, here's mine list. As Bertrand Russell said, "There are two motives for reading a book: one, that you enjoy it; the other, that you can boast about it."

Bookcover: A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson A Short History of Nearly Everything

Bill Bryson wrote this book because he was dissatisfied with his scientific knowledge — that was, not much at all. He writes that science was a distant, unexplained subject at school.

Textbooks and teachers alike did not ignite the passion for knowledge in him, mainly because they never delved in the whys, hows, and whens.
