Elevator Up +1
For the past 3 years at Elevator Up, I’ve worked hard to move the company forward in the area of web hosting and application development. It’s been a tough road and a lot of late nights and long weekends. On top of that I’ve had a full time job at The Image Group as their web strategist and team leader.
One of the things I was trying to figure out while reflecting on 2006 was, How is 2007 going to be any different than the previous year(s)?
. That rolled quite a bit of thinking from 2006 to 2008 and trying to define where I wanted to be.
After some time, it became obvious that I had to make some pretty big commitments and take Elevator Up seriously. Thinking of it as being a successful company.
The main thing that came out of that was the need for more help. Sure, I have bookkeepers and accountants that I hire to manage all my billing and keep me out of IRS jail but nobody was able to help me finish my ideas and help me think further than those ideas.
After some searching around, I met an individual that seemed excited for the chance of taking a bit of a risk with me. The difference was - he knows how to program really well and was able to help complete various projects that are floating around the Elevator Up dream space (Eventable, 7dots, etc…).
So on Jan 2, 2007 - Elevator Up officially hired its first employee (according to the state of Michigan).
We’re only into our second week together and still trying to figure each other out and learn what exactly we need to do. Along with that, it’s trying the little details like payroll, health insurance, office space, etc… that need to be figured out.
So I’m happy to have Zach Moazeni as Elevator Up’s first employee. If you see him online, on the street or at JP’s Coffee shop - make sure to say congratulations and to stick with it, because 2007 is going to be a good year with 2008 being even more exciting.
