I got an email, filled with survey results, from the recent Gospelcon conference I spoke at. There were various comments on my presentation for “Web Workflow” and thought I would share them.
Quote 1:
Aaron is probably one of the best presenters I’ve seen in my last 2 years of Gospelcon. He’s awesome. I think anything he presents would be awesome!
Quote 2:
Fantastic! Really. Not sure time spent including and participation would have enhanced this session. I just wanted the info to just keep coming. Pretty tired and this session woke me up and inspired me.
Quote 3:
Great presentation - This process is a lot simpler than other PM material I’ve seen/used.
Quote 4:
Knows his stuff and speaks fast so not boring

After traveling a little over 1300 miles, through 4 states, in and out of different countries and past a few great lakes - we’re finally home from our Thanksgiving Holiday travels.
The road trip was definitely the best part. Jodi and I realized that going to different cities without much of a plan is really our ideal vacation. In each spot we found some hidden little treasures and learned more about the country we live in. The last spot we found was Crocker Park in Westlake, Ohio. It was so amazing that Jodi and I seriously considered moving there. I just need to figure out how to relocate of few things that I’m doing and I’d be fine with living there for a year or so.
As for the Holiday family get together, it was good. Seeing family is always nice and listening to everyone’s stories of what their up to is good for a few days.
All-in-all, it’s nice to be home. I’m not looking forward to working but I’m sure I’ll get back in the swing of things after a few days.

After convincing myself that I don’t need a video iPod at the Best Buy right next to our hotel, we took off for Toronto, CA (192 km and 3 hours).
The trip from London, CA to Toronto, CA wasn’t anything spectacular but it did go rather quick. Jessica took a nap for most of the trip while Jodi read and I listen to my iPod Shuffle. I don’t know if it’s just because of the weather but I really like Cananda. It’s a pretty cool place and even though Canada butts itself right up to the United States, it’s still far enough way to see different cultures.
After getting into Toronto, we drove around a bit trying to find a good place to spend the night. We haven’t made any plans so far this trip so we didn’t have a clue of where we were going. We chatted in the car about some of the accommodations we desired. Things like a pool, fitness room (or floor), a big enough room to keep Jessica away from the foot of our bed and a Spa if we were so lucky.
With 15 minutes of driving around, we bumped into a small 177 room hotel called the Grand Hotel of Toronto. It seemed like a fancy place but we thought What the heck, we’re almost never on vacation
and we booked a room.
The cost really wasn’t that bad - at $170/night we got a room with 2 TV’s and VCR/DVD players, a full kitchen with marble counters, a view of downtown Toronto, wireless (that actually works in each room), complimentary movies and quite a few other things. The rest of the hotel is amazing - you’ll have the check out the photo gallery to see for yourself. Jodi also posted a few photos of our room and around the hotel in my Flickr feed.
All in all we’re having a great time. Tomorrow we’re planning on hitting the streets of Toronto, so if you know of something cool we need to check out - let me know.

As some of you may know, we took off on a road trip this morning at 11am (EST). Our end goal is Spencerport, New York but the road to getting there is whatever we decide.
The normal 9 hour trip is being spread over 3-4 days of city hopping before actually showing up at my Grandma’s house on Wednesday. Today we made it to London, Canada. I would show you pictures but my camera has been in the shop for the past few months (I hate you Ritz Camera slow repair policy) and my only way of showing the world that I’m alive is to randomly post on my whereabouts.
Anyways - London, CA is a pretty cool place. We’ve only been here for a few hours but found a sweet hotel room for only $63.00 a night, grabbed a dinner at Outback Steakhouse (I was really craving the Bloomin’ Onion) and having some quality time with the family.
Tomorrow - Toronto, Canada.

I just got back from speaking at the Holland Chamber on “Internet
Search: Finding Information on the Internet”
I had a lot of fun walking people through the topic and was even asked
to speak for an additional 30minutes (which was great because the
Internet is pretty big).
My Presentation (with large pictures to keep people interested)
I’m hoping to have the audio up sometime later this week, so keep watching this space.
