Elevator Up gets new servers

Some new things are happening at Elevator Up and I wanted to share one of the most recent changes.

Do to the current growth on the hosting side, we purchased 3 new servers this week in order provide a better hosting environment.

Below is what we purchased and what we plan to use them for. A later post will come out with how the setup is done and when migrations to the new servers will be happening if you’re an Elevator Up client.

Application servers (w/load-balancing)

  • Operating System: CentOS
  • Amount of servers: 2
  • Setup:
    • Dell Server with an Intel Pentium 3.0GHz Processor
    • 2 GB DDR RAM
    • 2 x 160 GB SATA Drive
    • 2000 GB Bandwidth

Mail and Database server

  • Operating System: Debian Server
  • Amount of servers: 1
  • Setup:
    • AMD Athlon 2200 Processor
    • 1GB Memory
    • 1 x 80 GB Hard Drive
    • 2000 GB Bandwidth

We’re pretty excited.
