In comes Mononucleosis

If having strep throat hasn’t been a kick in the pants since Wednesday (4 days ago), I also have Mononucleosis (mono).

After a few days of antibiotics, for strep throat, you’re supposed to start feeling better and return to the person you were before the flesh eating, throat bacteria disease came along.

Saturday morning I was only feeling worse so I decided to take off for the doctors again just to see. I was also getting additional symptions that didn’t seem to go with strep. Three-hours later, I was diagnosed with mono on top of my strep.

Sigh, if I wasn’t so extremely tired and soar, I’d be really really pissed by spending so much time in our house with no option of really leaving.

Sorry to hear that…usually takes awhile to get over that too.

Heard you bought a new digital camera then took it back. What did you end up with this time?

Still happy with my D70…if money was no object, their newest pro camera would be nice at nearly twice the resolution, but for what I’ve been doing, overkill. I think I’ll be happy with this one for awhile.

Yea - I’m hoping it won’t put me to much out of commission. Nice thing about my job is that it’s mostly online. I still have to be awake to do things though.

As for the camera - we ended up getting the Nikon D70 as well. We both really like it and wouldn’t go back.

Heed the doctor’s advice… I spent two full weeks at home, in bed or watching tv, drinking a ton of Gatorade and water. The original diagnosise for me was Strep, but then I went to a doctor’s office, instead of an after-hours clinic, and he immediately called mono. Crappy thing was that the original doc prescribed a bunch of anti-biotics that killed my stomach, and made things even worse.

Good luck getting better! Do as little as possible!
