Don’t have a lot of time to really put together a portfolio of all your work? Having various people ask you what you’re working on or what kind of stuff you’ve done or been a part of?
Do like everyone else and skip the time it takes to put together your own site about yourself and your offerings. Upload everything to Flickr, create a photo set and call it a day. Not only is it a great way to see all the work you’ve done but it saves an amazing amount of time and headache.
Take a peek at some of my stuff and the projects that I’ve worked on.

Every few months I’ll get an email from someone digging for the secret to increasing traffic to their site. Whereas the real answer requires quite a bit of a conversation (customized for each person depending on their goals) - This is usually my standard response.

My buddy, Zaba’s (not real name) blog is good. He was curious about getting more readers. He’s living in Ireland (not real place). Read a couple entries; let me know what you think. What can we do to get him more readers??

Well, it’s hard to break down into 10 steps to winning users but there are a few key things. I’m attaching a few good articles and a PDF to read on the subject. They explain the majority of what you should do. (How design and usability affect readership is another topic).
In a nutshell - write often, have something to say, don’t try to speak to everyone, talk about what you’re passionate about, get involved within the community you’re targeting, and again - have something to say.
I’ll leave you with a quote from Merlin Mann.
“If you don’t have anything to say, you haven’t found yourself.
Find who you are and what you’re interested in and blog the hell out of it.”
Disclaimer: I know I don’t follow a lot of these rules and don’t have a wildly popular blog. Guess what, I’m ok with that. My site is simple and it’s something I like messing around with when I have time. Maybe one of these days I’ll take it seriously but until then, I’ll keep things random.

After an amazingly long week and a half I feel 98% over my most recent sicknesses. Last week Tuesday is when the strep throat started to clear up and by Thursday it was almost completely gone. It still hurts when I yawn, as it will stretch my throat, but I can eat normal food which was tremendously missed.
Mono seemed to disappear right along with the strep. I consulted my doctor, making sure I really had it and he seemed certain I did in fact have mono. He mentioned that there were different types of mono and I probably had a small case alongside the strep.
Either way, I feel almost completely back to normal and I’ll be starting back at work full-time this coming Monday.

If having strep throat hasn’t been a kick in the pants since Wednesday (4 days ago), I also have Mononucleosis (mono).
After a few days of antibiotics, for strep throat, you’re supposed to start feeling better and return to the person you were before the flesh eating, throat bacteria disease came along.
Saturday morning I was only feeling worse so I decided to take off for the doctors again just to see. I was also getting additional symptions that didn’t seem to go with strep. Three-hours later, I was diagnosed with mono on top of my strep.
Sigh, if I wasn’t so extremely tired and soar, I’d be really really pissed by spending so much time in our house with no option of really leaving.
