Has Google Left?

A snapshot of my browser window showing the SOGO website instead of seeing Google.com I have no idea what’s going on but at 12:30pm (EST), I tried doing a google search in my Safari toolbar and I got a page not found.

Not being sure of what happened - I decided to type in Google.com and I got some site that was a simple as Google but said - “SOGO - Find what you’re looking for”

Q. What about Google’s DNS failure on 5/6/2005?

A. This just came to our attention on 5/11/2005. We read many of the blog reports, most of which contained incorrect information. The issue, to the best of our knowledge, was a DNS failure at Google. DNS is just as critical to connectivity, and loss of DNS makes a given website unreachable. We understand several DNS vendors contacted Google, and one of them made a sale as a result of the incident. SoGoSearch made no changes before or after the incident. DNS vendors have contacted us as well, but we received no calls or messages at all regarding the Google incident and as a result learned only today as a result of a sales contact from a DNS vendor.

I have no idea what’s going on but I need someone to fill me in and quick because, as of this posting, Google does not exist.

Same thing here this morning (9:00 am EST). Only on my IBook on both Safari and Firefox. On my PC I am getting the normal Google page. On the MAC only SOGO. Very strange indeed.
