Google Maps API

As many of you know, Google launched Google Maps awhile ago. If you haven’t seen it, go check it out.

Yesterday they developed an API (application program interface) that allows developers to use the power of their system on your sites.

I’ve been playing around with it for a few hours and though I don’t know this stuff very well, I managed to hack together my own Google Maps on my site.

First Attempt: http://www.theparagon.org/has/googlemaps/

Make sure to click on the (hard to see) Image Group orange in the center.

It pops up the map, then IE issues an error message, then pops to the IE error page.

Hmm - I read about the IE issue in their documentation but didn’t spend much time on it. I’ll have to read up on that here soon - stupid IE.
