April Fools Baby
While some are out there playing simple, yet hilarious, pranks others are dealing with more serious matters.
It all started when I came home from a long day at work and all I wanted to do what plop on the couch. Jodi was feeding baby Jessica and after a few minutes she calls me over to talk about something serious.
“I’m resting on the couch,” I say, “can’t you just tell me while I’m resting here?”. Well, she couldn’t and proceeded to give me a face of concern. “It’s a pretty serious thing Aaron - can you just come over here?”.
At this point I had no idea what was going on and how serious it really was but I thought I should get up and see what was bothering her.
She started gathering her thoughts after I sat and said (while looking deeply into my eyes) - “How would you feel if we were to have another baby?” To which I quickly repeated - “Another Baby!”
The conversation then continued and we tried to figure out how this was possible since we’ve used, well - the non-baby-making-tools. It just didn’t make sense and as supportive as I was trying to be, I couldn’t help but feel shocked and overwhelmed.
“Are you happy?” she says. “Well, yea” I say while obviously lying with my facial expressions. “I guess we’re going to have another baby, huh”.
At that point she blurts with a large smile and says - April Fools Day.
I now hate my wife.
Wife Says:
No you don’t! You got me back, you had a good laugh and hopefully this news won’t come for years, but when it does you’ll be sincerely overjoyed.
admit it, you love me to pieces!
