It’s a Girl

Some pretty monumental things have happened to me this week and I haven’t had one chance to hop on my computer and let you all know.
Our new Baby Girl If you haven’t already heard from my lovely wife - we had a baby girl on January 12, 2005 at 3:42pm.

She’s a cutie with large wondering eyes and deep dimples when she smiles.

I really don’t know what to say about the whole event because I’ve explained it so many times to those of you that visited us in the delivery room after the event.

I’m extremely excited to now be a dad but it hasn’t fully hit me yet (that I know of). I am much more protective of my two girls I’ve noticed and they both have taken so much of my attention these past few days that I haven’t even wanted to get on my computer and catch up on my hundreds of unread RSS feeds. Which for those of you that are in the know - unread RSS feeds eat deeply away at me until I adhere to their bits of information.

Even though I don’t have much to say here - I did manage to put together 27 thousand words together over here.

congratulations aaron and jodi!!!!
i know you two will be wonderful parents. just great. jessica is a good name. (i couldn’t quite see the middle name on the birth certificate — is it “renae”? — that would also be good) similarly, the dimples are good dimples. hey, just think about all the amazing things she’ll do in her life. and woe to me not being there to see her and celebrate with you both. i am sure these next few months ofy ours will be among the most exciting and fulfilling of y’alls life.
love,
ethan

Very nice Aaron! I suspect you will be a great father. Life will be different for you and your wife. Blink twice and Jessica will be in college.

Aaron and Jodi

Although we don’t know you guys that well we have come to fall in love with you. Your intelligence your many close and obvious deep friendships, your ethics and integrity.

Jessica is one lucky girl to have such beautiful parents. The pictures are wonderful, she is going to break hearts.

Janelle and I look forward to meeting Jodi and Jessica once things settle down some.

Aaron take your time and breath it all in for as long as you need. There is no rush on our end.
