Scissor Sisters

Today’s music is going nowhere and trying to find something with a catchy tune is, probably, one of the harder things to do in America today. If you do find a good song, you consume your player with it until (1) you can’t stand listening to it anymore, or (2) you get caught singing along as if you actually are in the band.

Scissor Sisters Pop Band A few weeks ago Rob tossed a CD on my desk called “Scissor Sisters”. It was one of those moments when you slowly look at the CD and just as slowly look at the person offering the new tunes up. Anyone watching would have easily seen my puzzled look and Rob’s wondering face, thinking he may have just made an inappropriate music suggestion.

I took the CD and popped it into my laptop and continued to work. A few moments later I slowly fessed up and announced an amazing appreciation for Scissor Sisters.

Pop music has exploded, in an edgy, sexy, supremely tuneful commotion – thanks to the uncommonly brilliant sounds of the Scissor Sisters.

So if you’re bored of the same ‘ol music and looking for something different, them a try.

Disclaimer: Please don’t consider the Scissor Sisters as a role model or play in front of young children.

Nice. They sort of remind me of early Elton John, David Bowie, George Michael, Jamiroquai, Tears for Fears, Sinead O’connor, and sometimes early Floyd. I like it.

I’ve been jamming to the SS for a couple months now. I just can’t get sick of it!!

I’ll have to say though, if you think today’s music is going nowhere, you are listening to the wrong stuff…

Joe - I more than likely am listening to the wrong stuff. I love listening to music but honestly suck at finding it. I’m really open to anything - so lay it on me.
