Comment Steps

Ok - somehow my site got screwed up a bit and this post got deleted. I’m trying to see if I can’t find it somewhere but if not - i’ll try to recreate this post.

I am not sure what that gains, and it puts the post button out of view.

Can you do a live spellcheck in that view? Then it would be helpful!

(It is kind of like seeing yourself in a mirror.)

Aaron, this is sweet. I love the concept of being able to preview my comments while I’m writing them. The only problem I have with this concept is that some users (say of commercial websites) might have javascript turned off. If there’s a graceful degredation for browsers that can’t or don’t have javascript, I’m all for it.

BTW, nice implementation. You’re too good.

Bill - I think adding a spell checker would be awesome. I have no idea how to do that but I’ll look into that and hopefully put something together soon.

Paul - People with JavaScript should still be able to use the site and make comments. My script has a NOSCRIPT that simply tells users without JavaScript that it must be enabled for this feature.

The ability to post comments is still there though and they are not regected.

Maybe the computer knows what Im thinking now and I think I’m typing it but the computers also typing it out which makes me think Im typing it… wait, im confused.
