Baby Diaper Fund

It’s one of those things that someone creates and you just say to yourself - “That’s so stink’in simple but so stink’in awesome - Why hasn’t this been done before?” DropCash is a new site that has recently been developed by Andre Torrez and Jason Kottke.

It’s a simple way to organize a fundraiser. Are you raising money for a charity, a trip overseas, a family gift for mom, or to pay off a surprise hosting bill? DropCash lets you set up a page so everyone can follow your progress as you near your goal.

Everyone is currently talking about it but the best thing about it (well, there’s some better things but I’ll let everyone else talk about that) is - it’s really easy to create a campaign.

I decided to give it a try and created a Baby Diaper Fund. I figured it was reasonable and people might actually think it’s a worthy cause. At least I hope so.

Realistically - As things are now, I probably won’t use the site all that much. However, if they continue to work on it and possibly allow you to display more of it on your own website - that would be great.

I could see quite a bit of smaller businesses and webloggers using this.

Paper or cloth? We used a service that picked up and delivered real cloth diapers to the house. (That was a few years ago). Kids hardly ever had a rash… it was cheaper… more environmentally friendly… and very impressive when you demonstrated the folding technique.

It was a small hastle to go on trips, returning with a smelly garbage bag in the back of the van :-).

To answer your question, I’d have to let Jodi answer that.

Ahh, I see! I suspect the choice will have an impact on you as well… Happy folding. Remeber boys extra foldover in front, girls in the back ;-)
