Riding in the Rain

There’s something about riding a bike in the rain that rejuvenates the soul. While you’re gliding down the road, passing neighborhoods and open land - you can’t help but let your mind wonder.

Feeling the rain slightly hit my face brings me back to an adolescent state of carelessness, wonderment and awe. A time where all worries in life seem to be dealt with by someone much more able than me.

Many times I wish the ride never stopped. The idea of seeing new places and experiencing other neighborhood stories, the randomness of making a quick turn down an unexpected street to only find something you never knew existed - the ride never gets old.

This is the same feeling I get while hiking in the rain or camping in the rain. I guess it’s just the rain that makes the whole experience, of whatever I’m doing, that much better.
