Early Anniversary Celebration
Life has been keeping Jodi and I rather busy and every once in awhile you just need to get away - even if it’s only 45 minutes away.
This weekend we decided to take off and spend an afternoon, night and morning in GR at the Amway Grand Plaza. The Amway is a rather familiar place for both of us and we’ve been there together for a variety of events - just never a night by ourselves.
The weekend started quite quickly after we checked in at two-thirty on Saturday. At three o’ clock, I had reservations to get a full body massage at The Artistry Beauty Institute while Jodi was getting a facial. After her facial she relaxed as well in a full body (hour long) massage.
By the time all that was done it was already past five o’ clock so we walked over to the Bistro Bella Vita to grab a bit to eat. We’d both never been there and had almost the whole place to ourselves for about a half an hour. After that, things started to pick up and the place filled quickly. The food was delicious and as tempting as dessert was - we had chocolate covered strawberries waiting for us at the Grand Plaza.
Later that afternoon we decided to catch a movie in our hotel room and relaxed for the rest of the night.
Morning came quick but with heavy curtains covering the windows, we slept soundly until almost ten o’ clock. Check out wasn’t for a few more hours but we decided to take off a bit early to grab a bit to eat in GR before we headed home.
It was a relaxing weekend and an early anniversary get away.
More than likely we’ll do something on August 30th (our real Anniversary date) but who says you can’t have an extra amount of special treatment every once in awhile?
