Selling our Perry House

After putting a new roof on, remodeling the entry way, redoing a lot of the landscape, re-painting all the walls and getting it just the way we like it - Jodi and I have decided to sell our house on Perry St.

I can’t think of much to say other than it’s a great house that became a home for Jodi and I during the first year of our marriage. For a starter home this has to be one of the best areas in Holland to begin. There is a park right across the street from us but we only see trees and the sounds of children laughing on a warm Sunday afternoon.

Our neighbors have made the whole experience an enjoyable one with over the fence conversations and the random borrowing of power tools to get those home owner jobs done.

As quoted in the paper:

As cute as a button describes this ready to move into bungalow home. On a large wooded lot with freshly painted interior, new roof Aug 2003, new furnace 2002, new electrical 1998. Completely remodeled entry/laundry/mud room spring of 2004 - including flooring, drywall, built in closet, storage space, baseboards, painting - the works. Large kitchen with a lot of room for eating.

It’s a beautiful house and I couldn’t ask for a better starter home but it’s just not big enough with Jodi and I expecting an addition to the family.

Where will we live?

We’ve been looking around for a little while and found a rather large house in Zeeland, Michigan right off of Wall Street. We haven’t purchased it yet but are hoping to do so this coming week.

As for our house - My guess is that it will sell quick. It’s in a great location and it’s very reasonably priced. In fact - in the one day it’s been on the market, we’ve already had two people come through it and others talk of interest.

Next week we’ll be having an Open House so if you’re in the area and haven’t seen house place - now is your chance. I’ll also be posting pictures both on this site as well as the property site.
