Baby Names and Sex

Now that news is being spread of the Schaap baby, questions are arising quickly. The two questions that seem to be on the tip of everone’s tougue is:

  1. What’s the sex of the baby?
  2. Have you thought of any names, yet?

The answers to those mystifying questions are rather vague at this point. Right now it’s too soon to know the sex of the baby so we really can’t answer that question.

This however brings us to another issue - “Do Jodi and I want to know the sex of the baby?” Ah - a whole new set of questions arise now. Jodi currently doesn’t want to know and likes the idea of it being a suprize. I however really want to know so that I can prepair myself a little more and have fun dreaming of things I can do with my new kid. (sorry for making that sound like I’m getting a new toy).

As for the baby names - that we don’t know either. We’ll more than likely ask others for recommendations but I can say with confidence - we won’t be calling it version 2.0.

That said, when we do find that perfect name - we’re going to be selfish and keep it to ourselves. We’re not going to tell a soul until it’s time to write it on a certificate.

We don’t mind questions so feel free to ask away. I’ll do my best to keep things up-to-date around here for those that want to be kept in the loop.

Congratulations!
Another landmark in your lives. Having your first child is similar to the changes in your lives that getting married was. You are in my prayers!

Mrs Schaap with baby schaap en route Says:

Another question I get all the time, mostly from women, is Have you had any cravings yet?

Yes, I have … the oddest one to most is mashed potatoes with barbeque sauce at 10:30 or 11 on occasional nights.

Watermelon is this pregnant lady’s friend as is pineapple.

Some day’s it’s just a certain meal that sounds REALLY good, like a BLT, or a steak, or macaroni and cheese (mmmmm - speaking of … ), grape juice isn’t a meal but we keep it in the house now. Burger kings cini-minis on frequent occasion. The list could go on.

Something I used to like that I don’t care for now is chocolate, which now I really don’t want ANY . EVER .
