Valentine’s Day
The song must’ve been playing on the radio before I got out of the car but while I was walking up to the B&N doors I was rather loudly, whistling the tune of “ONE” (must have iTunes to view) by Three Dog Night.
Now, whistling while you walk isn’t considered weird but today of all days - it was Valentine’s Day. In fact, I was quickly reminded of this when a mother and daughter began to snicker as I passed them.
It took me a second to figure out why they thought what I was doing was funny - then it hit me. Why was I whistling this song? They must think I have no-one for this day of love.
I decided it wasn’t that big of a deal and laughed silently while allowing my smile to crack just a little before walking into the store.
