A Singles Swan Song
This is what I wrote my groomsmen and had read aloud before they received their gifts.
By the time you read this I will have probably gone to far to come back and on my way to a life of marriage. Itís been a great ride being single and I have to thank you guys for that. I couldnít have asked for a better 22 years and know that all of you have had the same experience.
Itís time now for me to move on and trade my life as a single, in for one with a lady. The lady is a good one and I think you guys will like her as she begins to stay around longer than the rest have. However ń I am happy to say that I have negotiated my way though this trade and there is good news for us all.
Though the negotiation was hard, there is now an understanding. The understanding is ń “As long as I hold this lady as my number one priority and love her far beyond death, Iíll still be able hang out with you all and continue to have untold amounts of fun.”
I feel this is a good deal and tomorrow I will be signing the papers.
So thanks guys for being such an inspiration in my life and getting me this far. Iíll do my best to be an example as I am now the first in our group of guys to get married. Thatís not to say I wonít need snowballs thrown at my crotch every once in awhile to keep inline.
