Alias - The Show

Alias Television Show on ABC

Since the beginning of 2001 I’ve been watching the show Alias on ABC with a group of 15 or so people. It all started out innocent until the 3rd week when I became hooked. The story line was simply amazing, and for over 2 years now it has kept up with great content and avoidance from turning into an old X-Files show - as so many shows seems too.

Tonight was the 2 hour final finally (for the season) and they really left you on one serious cliff hanger. You wanted to pull your hair out and just beg for just one more drop of information.

Episode 21: Second Double / The Telling Alias wraps up with a special, two-part season finale. In part one of the two-hour broadcast - Second Double - Sydney begins to question Will’s identity when he’s arrested for espionage, under suspicion of being a double. Meanwhile Sark and Irina plot to recover the Rambaldi heart, and Sloane makes Jack a business proposal.

In part two? The Telling Sydney finally confronts her mother, who reveals her true motivation. Sloane, for his part, begins to execute his new grand plan, Will struggles to figure out who’s behind his set-up, and Marshall finds love.

Now, everyone has that show they call their own. You know - the one that you just can’t miss and you sadly know everything about it, along with all the actresses and actors lives. Alias has just happen to be that show for me since 09/30/2001.

If you’re ever looking to jump on board, feel free to do so. However - don’t come watch the first show of next season and expect everyone to fill you in. It’s amazingly complex and would take precious time away from the show - to which I’m not about to do. So get your F.A.Q.’s straight before joining.

If you have been watching the show - let me know what you thought and any of your thoughts or theories. I’m still trying to figure out where the hell Sydney Bristow could have been for those 2 years.

On another note - This is my 300th post using the Greymatter Publishing System.

Known Alias adict - soon to be schaapette Says:

Has it really been 2 years? WOW, when you’re wrapped up in it … it seems like so much less.

I have to say how enraged I am at the ending, I’m pathetic and I admit it. Vaughn was NOT supposed to get married … I mean less than 2 years and the guy has a wife? Even if Sydney was dead, don’t you think 2 years is a little short for the whole mourning period.

Whatever, I had romantic hopes for the two of them, I have to say though that at first I wanted Will to get the girl, which will probably happen now. but I am disappointmed none the less.

I’m so making a T-Shirt for the premier this fall.

FYI - the first sentance of the below post is in regards to the length of the show on air … not in regards to the aaparent 2 years they skipped in the finale.

Incredulous at the turn of events Says:

I am an avid viewer and love the show immensly. However, in this last 2 hour episode, I can’t believe the technical mistakes they made. Usually the show somewhat follows somewhat believable espionage principles, but some points of this last show really disappointed me. Being a student of the Tom Clancy / Jack Higgins school of espionage, there were a couple of point with which I have a problem.

1) Couldn’t they think of a believable lie to tell Francie about Will? I know she knew who Sid really was, but Sid didn’t know that and didn’t have to compromise future operations, not to mention her safety, by revealing her true job.

2) What was Will doing with looking at classified documents at home and leaving them in plain sight for Francie to see them? A breach of security like that almost cost him his life and Sid’s.

On a more upbeat note. No one explained anything about the Rembauldi heart. Could it be that Sid was taken and Sloan put the heart into Sid and that’s why she was gone for 2 years? At the least it had something to do with the completed Rembauldi device. Also, Francie is not necessarily gone. She was shot 3 times, but in non vital areas (once in the arm and each shoulder) she was probably recovered by Sloan along with Sidney. We’ll have to see. I eagerly anticipate next season. See you all there.

Alias Junkie Says:

oooh, ok have you thought of this …

What if Sydney was made into a double and Vaughn married her double! Then the double was killed and they learned it wasn’t Syd - so they started searching for her and then the ending was when she came back …

A hopeless romantic’s fantacy … we will see what happens.

Are there any other Alias Fans out there, or am I the only outward junkie about all of this … c’mon lets hear it from you people.

Okay…wait now…

I’m just getting through the fifth dvd of the 2nd season, so I’m confused. (Believe it or not, I got to this site by doing a search for renauldi trying to find out what STATION is airing this GREAT show.) My wife made me watch it a few times and now I’m hooked… I’ve yet to see the first season and haven’t seen ANY of the other seasons. How many are there so far and WHAT NETWORK IS THE SERIES ON?!? LOL

Yea, as far as which channel Alias is on in Alaska - I don’t really know. It varies even from the north side of Holland, Michigan to the south side. I would suggest taking a look at the TV Guide. Maybe look through one while you’re waiting in line at the grocery store. You can also get it online but have to register.

Oh - I would definatly watch the first season. You’ll be lost for quite awhile if you don’t.
