The Proposal
Instead of telling you myself I’ve decided to just let Jodi tell you all.
Jodi - you have the floor
Aaron asked me to marry him this past Sunday morning and I was crazy enough to say YES!!! hee hee … We’re ENGAGED!
I called him this Sunday morning and asked him to stop by and see me. I was stressed out because I was having my parents over for dinner and I didn’t feel like I had enough time to get everything done. So he said he would be at the house in a few minutes … 30 minutes later he knocks on the door and I greet him along with the 3 different bouquets of flowers he had in his hands.
I thought he was being sympathetic to my stress and just wanted to give me something to smile about … but he brought me into the living room and gave me the first flower, a white rose, that he said symbolized our past, then the second flower, a red rose, to symbolize our present. Last he gave me a dozen long stem red roses to symbolize our future.
At this point I’m trying to smell the flowers and thinking “what a great guy”. Meanwhile he’s reaching into his pocket, getting on one knee and asking, “Jodi, will you marry me?”
(alot of giggling) … and I said Yes :-)

Aaron- dude! Congrats :) One of these days you’re going to have to teach me how to speak to ‘the womens’
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! This is so great. Life is just great. We live in the worst of all possible worlds, and it’s still THIS GREAT!!!! I did a cartwheel in the name of aaron and jodi’s soon to be nuptual bliss.
Hey Aaron!
I happened to read an article on the Google purchase and thought of you. I popped in to check your site and found todays news.
Congratulations! Here’s where the real journey begins. You have tried walking, writing, learning, and skating. This will be your ultimate adventure/experience! There is no better way to travel than with your best friend. I’m very happy for you both. “May the road rise up to meet you…”
YAHOO! HI GUYS!
Hi-Five to the kartwheel, I myself have been a human pogo-stick, jumping up and down with excitement.
Can’t wait to see you guys again!!
By the way, anyone out there have any advice for us??? So far the only advice I’ve gotten is “Don’t have kids right away, enjoy eachother, travel … ” Which is our plan but you never really know … so any other advice??
Congratulations,
Advise?? Talk, share, love, listen, be patient :-), not necessarily in that order.
Congratulations, you two. :-)
Aaron - son, son of mine
I am so happy that you have taken this step. She is right, you are a great guy. I have had a lot of fun being your “property rep” here at Morris Communications.
Advice - Well, considering I have been married for 14 years - i feel qualified.
#1 I agree with the post that said wait for the kids, but i can only speculate - because my son was 3 wks old when i married my husband (or my baby daddy). I appreciate the fact that I am 37 and have a 14 yr old son, so having the kids early has an advantage . A lot of my co-workers that are in their 30’s + are just now getting married or just beginning to have kids ( so dont wait too late or youll be too tired to enjoy yourself when theyre off your hip!!)
#2 Don’t sweat the small stuff.
#3 Don’t sweat the big stuff either.
#4 Find out everything that she likes and make sure that you give it to her!!!
#5 Tell her everything that you like, and she will give it to you… If she doesnt - tell her again :-)
…and this should really be #1 - but make sure the Christ is in the center of your marriage!!!
be blessed!!!
Aaron… I feel it is time for my advice to you…
With that out of the way Congrats. I didnt email you that yet… and I will - probably - maybe - maybe I will just write you a song or something… but this is a good thing- and you tell that jodi of yours that it is also…
