Shuttle Catastrophe Thoughts

Hey - maybe we shouldn’t continue space travel anymore. I mean, people just died and for what? I say we re-evaluate this whole system, but only after we take a moment to remember the people that are no longer with us.

You know what - give me a frick’in break. People die left and right for our country, science, exploration and freedom. 7 people die and everyones freak’in out NOW because “… it just isn’t worth it if people are dieing”.

So why now you extremist? Why not before when we sent troops over to other countries and watched them die left and right. Why not before when we wanted to explore the world and find out if it was really flat? Why not before?

7 people aren’t with us anymore. I’m terribly sorry and hate when problems like this come up, but don’t be stupid about the whole issue people. The world is not coming to an end and the 3 people currently in the Space Station - they’re fine. They just received a bunch of supplies and getting supplies to them is not going to be a problem. If for some reason it does become a problem - they have a ship up there that holds up to 3 people.

I’m by no means a NASA expert but just settle down people. You news media folks - quite making up news in order to get more readers. We’ll read about what’s going on no matter what. Just tell us what’s going on.

wow, those are my thoughts exactly. Honestly, I am a little upset at the media for making such a big deal out of this. They continue to cram it down our thoats until we can’t take it anymore.

I would hate to be completley insensitive, but hundreds of people die every day under much worse conditions.

I guess the american way of dealing with it would be to make a t-shirt and sell it.

That’s Jane’s weblog, she just quotes from updates from the same day on other people’s sites, and puts them into her little “medley” update, it’s kind of clever (although seems like it would take a lot of work)
