Reading many books at once

Thursday_22:39

I’m a Multi-Book Reader

Maybe you’re alot like me but I can’t seem to just read one book from cover to cover. I’ll usually pick up a book and with alot of excitement, I’ll read it for a couple days during any free time I might be able to find. After those couple days I’ll usually find something else that’s just as fascinating and begin to read that as well.

This will go on for about 2 weeks. By the end of those 2 weeks I’ll have gathered a small library of books that I’ve either started or have sitting next to my bed to begin as soon as I can justify starting another book.

Right now I’m doing pretty good and only have 6 books that I’m jumping back and forth from. These books range from, Wild at Heart - a book about discovering the secret of a man’s soul, and Man’s Search for Meaning to books on CSS and XML.

Maybe the variety of books stems from a simple need for information. If it’s one thing that I’ve learned about myself over the years is my urge to simply be in the know.

I’m not talking about that kid who always has his nose stuck in everyone else’s business. I’m talking about the quiet guy in the corner that you just sense he probably knows more than he would ever lead off.

I’ll definitely admit to not being the smartest person but I don’t think that changes ones urge for knowledge.

The only problem I see right now is my lack of just sitting down and finishing these wonderful books. I’m that guy that knows alittle about alot (I talked about that some time ago). However I’m trying to change that.
