Lawbuzz.com tells us everything

You ever watch a movie and wonder if it’s a true story or not? Sometimes you’ll get lucky and the movie tells you straight out that it is based on a true story. Other times you’re left with rumors and questions.
Some friends and I were discussing some stories that became movies and someone mentioned HANNIBAL. Not to many people think of HANNIBAL as a take off a real person’s life.
Lawbuzz.com is a site developed and maintained by a local Holland, Michigan couple. They spend most of their time researching these issues and have many times interviewed movie characters and actual people that these movies are based on.
Lawbuzz.com’s beginning words about Hannibal Lechter.
Hannibal Lechterís gruesome habits are hard to break. Watching the fictional character on screen, we safely conclude: “Well, itís only a movie. Itís not like itís real or anything.”
Except that Hannibal Lechter is loosely based on a real man. A man so fiendish that his story makes Hannibalís exploits seem tame by comparison. At least Hannibal Lechter didnít harm children.
Hamilton Albert Fish - the real-life cannibal - was tried and electrocuted for doing unspeakable things to innocent children. What he did in real life would never be part of a movie script. No reasonable person would take fiction that far.
This site has made it into my Favorites and will be a commonly checked site before and after watching various movies.
Update:
Please be careful when reading these stories. I just got finished with one and I’m about to throw up. I’m not going to read any more.

and how would making a movie about a man who eats kids be different than posting on a website about a man who ate kids ? why wouldn’t a reasonable man do either ? ;-)
