Leaving Hotmail

Friday_00:15

I finally got rid of my hotmail account. I’m tired of learning about Viagra and how I can lower my monthly payments. The only real mail I might get comes too far and in-between that it just doesn’t make any sense to keep checking it.

So I go and try to delete my hotmail account but the jerks make it literally impossible. Searching for a good half an hour I couldn’t find one bit of information that would delete my account.

You can’t kill hotmail! You’re in for life!! The only thing I could think of was to send several million email spams with my hotmail address listed as the contact address. My account should go away within a few hours, and someone with the email address of deadaccounts@hotmail.com will post a notice to that effect in news.admin.net-abuse.email.

I almost did that but decided to just take the account out of Outlook Express. Not only do I have more room to breath - I have more room to make more folders in Outlook Express :-)

On another note:

I signed up for a yahoo account just to play around with all the little toys they have. As far as I can tell Yahoo has a much better system then Microsoft and supposedly doesn’t get as much spam.

I’ll probably end up being wrong on the spam deal but at least they’re pretending to try.

For the most part I’ll just stick to paragon email account and proceed to write various rules for the slippery fellas.

Thom Says:

Simply stop checking the hotmail account. Also use that address for every website that asks for your email address. After a while, they will get tired of receiving the millions of spam messages you will produce and cancel the account for you. After it is cancelled continue to use it anyway for any website that wants a email address
