Mom’s website is up
_21:09
I woke up this morning just like I do every morning and decided to start working on some past due projects. To start with - my mom’s website.
My mom’s a teacher and has been for quite some time. Awhile ago I told her she should have a website for all her teaching stuff to keep her students up to date with everything. The only problem was that I was a web developer and sooner of later I personally would have to make the website.
Today I decided to the majority of it done. I registered her the name - theschaapfamily.com so it could be used for more than just my mom. Today I spent quite some time coding it up all up and putting the pieces together.
Now after 7 hours of working on it - it’s for the most part live. I have a couple more things I need to work on (backend CMS mostly) and making things alittle smoother for any users visiting the site.
Check it out though and let me know what you think. If you take a peek at it in Netscape 4.x you’ll be disappointed but I could care less. I don’t program for a browser that’s 5 years old and not only doesn’t support many standards that it says it does, it supports various standards wrong.
Netscape 6+ and IE 6+ is my rule - unless you’re paying for the product. Even then it’s iffy.
