many websites - quick update

Thursday_23:58

Just wanted to pop in and say Hello to all my readers that have been checking my site and not been able to see anything. My apologies.

Just to give you a small idea of what I’ve been up to - here is a quick glimpse of some of my busy scheduale.

ONE:

I’m just about finished with some consulting work for DSG of Holland. The company hired me to come in and teach some of their employees the basics of web development. The result of their work is the DSG company website. I agree it’s not an award winning design but they did it themselves and are continuing to work on it. I’m proud of them :-)

TWO:

At work we are slowly finishing up a couple big projects. One being an online auction ( like ebay.com but with local products). We’ve been working with a company in Canada for the past couple of weeks and almost ready for everything to go live this Saturday.

The auction can be found at sentinelbid4bargains.com. I hope you stop by and bid on something. We have a Panasonic 47” Diagonal HDTV Monitor Projection TV with a starting bid of $1.00 :-)

THREE:

Also at work we’re trying to revamp our New Media website. It’s a much cleaner look than what we had before and I’m pretty happy with it. Right now I can happily say there are NO tables in the site what-so-ever and 100% compliant with XHTML 1.0 and CSS standards. nmdesigngroup.com

FOUR:

Joshua Outreach Group hired me last week to get a site up by this Friday. With such little time they explained that design was not a main focus but getting actual content online was.

I did my best to throw in a little bit of style but what can you do with such little time. Advertising spots have been placed on TV, radio, and newspaper that will start today. I’m hoping to revisit the site in the next couple of months and develop a complete solution for them. In the mean time I think this will do.

The site can be viewed at http://rain.he.net/~tjog right now but will hopefully be changed to www.tjog.org by the later part of tomorrow. Again, this site should be compliant with XHTML 1.0 and CSS standards :-)

So that in a nutshell is a quick summery of what has been going on. A couple other companies have approached me on doing some development for them and those probably begin at the end of October. In the mean time I have to develop 2 more sites for a teacher and a good look’in realtor.

(…sigh) I may complain a bit about how busy I am but to be honest - I love it!
