I need a business name

Thursday_00:33 — I need a business name !!!

I’m trying to come up with a business name and really need some ideas. For some reason I can’t seem to really come up with anything really good. In fact their all so terrible that I’m not going to even show you for fear it will ruin any creativity you might be able to put into thinking of a name.

The only thing is that I need the name to emphasize what I do.

What will I be doing?

My goal is to offer:

  • web consulting for medium sized businesses
  • custom web applications
  • Vision casting
  • usability reviews/implementation
  • Compliance with Section 508 (if applicable)
  • Educate my clients on their many options
  • and much more

The focus is going to be on helping on client at a time. I don’t want to be a person/company that simply comes in and does there work and leaves. I want to be involved and be available for future expansions down the road - by setting up a review process specific to each client.

The only other thing that I would like to have (but isn’t a huge deal) is for my business name to start with an “A”.

I know this is alot to think of but I could really use some ideas. Please feel free to suggest anything else I should offer or look into :-)

going through the dictionary Says:

altitdue

abbot - man in charge

aberration - change

abolishing aberration … which means to get rid of temprary change (could mean you plan on making lasting changes … )

absolute

abyss

This is just a start … there are 7,870 words that start with A.

Dad Says:

I assume you want to start with “A” to be placed in the beginning of the phone book listings. Since this is computer related, don’t forget about starting the name with the @ sign. I can allow you to use a wider variety of names and the @ sign comes before “A” in the phone book.

Aaron,

I know it doesn’t start with an a, but consider “Babble Fish”

This comes from the book “a hitchhikers guide to the galaxy” If you haven’t read it yet, check it out! I’ve always wanted to use is for a band name, but a business name is good too.

Babble Fish is named for being the Intergalactic Interpreter. Read the book to learn more or go to http://www.douglasadams.com/creations/infocomjava.html

I’ll have to check that book out. I’ve heard ALOT about Douglas Adams “a hitchhikers guide to the galaxy” .

As far as the name - (very good idea by the way) but wondering if it could be confused with http://babelfish.altavista.com/.

Great ideas though, and a good book reference :-)
