One of the worst parts about waking up in a cold house is the courage you have to gather in order to pull your body out of your covers. By the way you debate in your head over the pros and cons of why you should get out of bed or not makes you wonder if people lose battles because of this.
For me sleeping is something I hate - at night, but once I’m already in bed and have to wake up I could be ok with lying there all day long.
Last night one of my roommates left the windows open in the house. Of course it felt good then to have windows open but at 8:00 this morning it was the worst torture I’ve been in for quite some time. In fact - lying under my covers didn’t seem like that bad of an idea.
Obviously I drug myself into the bitter, cold air and managed to pull some clothes out of my dresser, but from now on I’m making sure all windows are closed before I call it a night.

Wow. Thats a genious idea.
Are you going to start changing your own light bulbs too?!
You’d think that on the Planet Earth, most places would be warm by the middle of May. This is bad.
Are the paragon recipes going to be posted anytime soon? I needs some food!
I’m hoping to get them up this weekend :-)
Keep sending them in so I have a bigger list.
Joel -
yea, I decided to change my light bulb. However, I didn’t have any bulbs so I had to take them from another room. Haha - you’ll figure out what room that is when you try to create light by switching the flicker.
okay. As the sign in our kitchen says. YOUR MOTHER DOESNT LIVE HERE.
Go buy some damn light bulbs.
I’m going to go ahead and support the suggestion of making sure your windows are closed at night for the simple reason I am about to state … There have been 4 break-in’s in my neighborhood since Saturday - locking and closing things up is a good idea. Luckily my home was not a target.
And - I have to go with Joel on his last post … Aaron, although your mother lives next door - you still need to buy your own light bulbs. …
