went to Chicago for a Banquet
_09:01
While everyone was getting ready for the Trinity Christian College banquet, my friends IMíed me to let me know what was going on. They thought it would be cool if I came down to visit them and now would be great time.
There would be people dressed up, good food, dancing and a whole lot of fun just waiting for my company — There was going to be a banquet. After alittle bit of convincing - Jodi and I hopped in my car and were on our way to Chicago to a banquet we might not be able to get into.
The road trip itself was pretty fun but when we got there nobody could figure out how we could get in. We still had about an hour to figure it all out so I wasn’t sweat’in much but the women weren’t to excited with our (what seem to be but wasn’t) ill-planned idea.
We started the night with trying to convince people that they didn’t really want to go and that they should give us there ticket. After about 20 minutes of that 2 girls decided they really didn’t want to go and we now only needed one more ticket for my friend Rob.
Rob went to the school but wasn’t planning on going to the banquet. Not really sure why but he just wasn’t. Of course, when we got there he wanted to go - making us in need of one more ticket.
For some reason nobody else really wanted to give up his or her tickets and Rob finally decided to take his woman on a date in Chicago instead of the banquet. From what I know they had a blast on their date and we all had a blast at the banquet.
It was hosted at the Holiday Inn - downtown Chicago. We pulled up and parked in the Holiday Inn’s parking lot. We knew we were in the right place because we saw hordes of women walking around in fancy dresses and men holding their hands while the other hand was fixing their tie.
The banquet itself was pretty fun. We came into a room filled with people I didn’t know but was excited to meet. After awhile of random talking the doors opened to the dining area and everyone was on a hunt to find a table to fit all their friends at.
After a couple minutes of running from table to table we finally found on and Jason peed in the side of the table to mark that it was ours (haha…not really).
The food was really good and filled us up to the point of almost not being able to dance - BUT - it didn’t stop us.
an overall outlook:
It was alot of fun and was glad to make the trip down. The only bad part about the whole trip was I left my bag down there. It has my books, personal items, cell phone, and some clothes. [..sigh]
If anyone is planning on going to Chicago anytime soon - please let me know.

Sorry, dude. I just went to Chicago for a day this weekend. But I thought about you at Ikea, if it makes you feel any better.
