sick w/ the flu

Tuesday_11:55

I’m sick with the flu. I hate being sick with the flu but there’s nothing you can do about it other than just lay there. I ended up going to bed around 20:30 (8:30 EST) and didn’t actually wake up until 11:15.

I just don’t like being sick and with there was something I could do to stop being sick. I am starting to feel better but I can’t really eat anything.

(sigh…) this post sucks. I’m going back to bed until I can come up with something better. I’ll work on updating the picture log as well.

Does anyone know how to get ride of the flu?

Joel Says:

Frankly Aaron, as a man, there is only one thing that you can do.

Go to your gilfriends (or mom’s) house, act as sick and misserable as you possibly can until they tuck you in, feed you soup and lovingly stroke your head.

This, really, is the only remedy.

Joel - you are the biggest sexist I have ever met. Haha - but i’ll give it a try.

side note:

The above is a running joke between Joel and I. By no means to I think joel is a sexist. Well, expect for those times when he yells at his woman to make him dinner while watching his sports games.

If she doesn’t do it, he takes off his wifebeater t-shirt and snaps her in the butt or throws his duff beer at her. She usually listens then.

Hey - that’s where I frigg’in got this horrible sickness. I’m going to come over and run my sickness all over you. See how you like that. Then i’ll eat all your soup. Sipping away as you fall back into your sickness you so graciously have away.

Derek Is Not the Healthiest Man Alive, But He's Probably Runner-Up Says:

How do you get well? I wish I could answer. I was sick for a marathon two months straight this past october / november. The only thing that finally cured me was going to my doctor, demanding antibiotics, and then paying through the frickin’ nose for my so-called “insurance” coverage. Don’t get me started on my insurance, I tells ya…

What’s the old saying - “feed a fever, starve a cold?” So, pack a whole lot of food down your gullet and pray you don’t heave it right back out from whence it came. Other than that, my only advice is to sleep, read comic books, and watch daytime TV… that always worked for me.
