Ice Skating with Friends in GR

It’s been awhile since I’ve been ice skating but last night a bunch of friends went to Grand Rapids to skate. The best part about it was everything was free - from the skates to the ice itself. The only down part about it being free is that everyone and their mother wanted to skate and what would have normally taken a person 10 minutes took some of us litterally an hour to get skates.

Everyone else brought skates and got to have fun right away. Despit all the waiting we all had a blast. Ethan met this girl and we called her the Ice Angel because she skated with such beauty. I’m pretty sure she’s taken lessons and the whole sha-bang.

Right now I’m off to Chicago for some odd reason to hang out with Jodi and my sister Leah and her man - Kurt. I’ll try to get some pictures and an update from the Windy City but only if I can find an Internet Cafe.

I went skating down there once, and my skates were so dull I could barely move. My girlfriend at the time just thought I was lying when I told her I could skate, until I busted out old inline movies of the barn in Holland ;-)

Ah the old skating days - when nothing mattered other than how much better one could do a trick. I find myself wishing to be back in those days many times.

James - I say we have another skate session one of these days, huh? Anyone else who used to skate or would like to learn (although we have lost all skills by now) is welcome.
