Max bus to the rescue

Thursday_9:15

You all know that I don’t have a car and haven’t for alittle over a year now, but every once in awhile I have access to one. This week was supposed to be a week I had a car - something to get me around, at least from work and back.

That’s not exactly what’s going on - in fact - that’s not happening at all. The car I have doesn’t seem to want to run and is sitting dead at Jodi’s house almost as if it’s mocking me for not having a car.

My mom has been great with helping me get to and from work everyday but this morning she is in Grand Rapids teaching and isn’t able to give me a lift. Usually I have a car on Thursday’s but today the car was dead as well as at Jodi’s house.

I broke down and called the Max bus for a lift at 8:35 so I could get to work by 9:00. Amazingly enough I made it to work by 9:07 and slipped in without letting anyone know I was a bit late.

The whole Max bus seemed pretty simple and might find myself using it more often. It’s $2.00 every time I get picked up but I guess it’s not that bad when considering the amount of gas, insurance, and car payments I would be making.

The only down part about riding the Max is when they find out you work on computers they start asking you all kinds of questions. Usually it’s about defraging their harddrive, explaining why they computer is so slow, or the great - “My computer gives me an alert saying I’ve performed an illegal operation”. What is that?

Other than those things it’s not that bad of a deal. However, I would rather pay someone else a dollar or two everyday to bring me to work. So if you’re excited about making money then give me a call or drop me a comment :-)
