Early 2 rise

Friday_8:14

Every Thursday night a group of people get together to watch “Friends” and then just hang out. Usually that lasts until 23:00 (11:00pm) but tonight I didn’t end up getting home until 3:30 and actually fell asleep around 4:00.

So now that I’ve told you that - you can see how completely tired I must be when having to wake up for work at 8:00. With that - imagine how even more tired and pissed off I am when my alarm goes off an exact hour before I had planned to wake up.

But that I could deal with. I could simply just go back to bed for a small bit. Sadly enough - I had no idea my alarm went off early. I must’ve hit the hour button last night and not realized it. About 15 minutes ago I was flying around my house like a mad man trying to get ready and when I was running for the door - I saw another clock say 8:00.

That really threw me off and I quickly turned on the TV to channel 49 (TV Guide CH) to see that I had indeed been running around an hour before I should have been.

This isn’t good…..I only got 3 hours of sleep last night and I’m about to walk in for a full day of work. I just hope I can pull it off without taking off early or falling asleep on my keyboard.

Any ideas on how to stay awake?

Everybody would normally say binge on coffee, but for me it’s always been more successful to just live with the tiredness. You know - go into work, be grouchy, and that way people leave you alone so that, if you want to, you can just zone out in front of your computer in a sort of imitation of sleep.

But I do suggest coffee. And lots of it.

I’m pretty sure that nobody can honestly say they haven’t just zoned out in front of their computer(s) while they were supposed to be working. I’ve had my share of those days and suprizingly enough I wake up in them every now and again.

I was going to buy doughnuts for everyone at my office (along with a large amount just for me) but when I got to the donate place they wouldn’t honor my credit card :-(

So far I’ve just been stuck in this abstract case of mind nothingness - I can’t say it’s all that bad though.

However the guy that sits next to me at work always plays his STUPID - “IwannabearockstarandIthinkI’mcoolbecauseI’minaband” music. So most of my time is really just trying to come up with a solid plan of action to beat him over the head.
