Movies instead of the Web

Tuesday_20:27

It’s come to the point where I can’t even tear myself away from the computer or the Internet using my own free will. I have to find something else that can distract. Like a kid who’s been punched by a friend that didn’t know he would really hurt you. He try’s to make you laugh - anything to preoccupy you from what is really going on.

Movies are somewhat like that for me. They always come out in theaters and then into a local Blockbuster, making it even more affordable to watch. I don’t think of myself as a movie buff but I like movies just as much as the next guy and maybe even more.

I think it’s the optional reality it offers me. Something different than what I currently have and see on a regular basis.

Tonight I watched “Double Take”. Not the greatest movie but good enough to pull me away from my computer and hold me down for alittle under 2 hours.

Maybe I should just start watching movies all the time. Quit my job and become a movie critic. I mean how hard is that really?

  • Put one thumb up and the other down.
  • Put both thumbs up
  • Put both thumbs down

I think I’ll give it a try. Any movie suggestions?

Joel Says:

Here are a couple of movies that have been good deterrents from the real world.

1-The Game

2-Fight Club

3-Waking Life (of course)

4-The Matrix (Did I really have to say it?)

I have enjoyed watching these movies over and over again. If there is one in the list you haven’t seen, SHAME ON YOU!
