later that day

Saturday_17:13

HI there - remember me? I’m that guy who every once in awhile comes online and updates this website. I understand it’s been awhile since I’ve been around this part of the web but traveling all over the country and staying at people’s house that only have 56k will do that to ya :-)

The trip has been going great and I’ve taken so many pictures I’m trying to figure out when I’ll be able to put them all together for you on my site?

The place we’re staying is on De Jager North Dairy farm and I’m learning a ton about being a country man. These past couple of days I’ve been introduced to a wide varitey of things such as shooting various flying animals all the way to how a dairy farm runs.

The place we’re staying at has 2,900 cows that are milked 2 times a day. De Jager owes 15,000 acres of land and is one of the biggest dairy farmers in the state of California (and I think the country).

It’s also been alot of getting to know Kathy’s brother, ROGER and his family. (someone yelling for me in the background) - Everyone is telling me I have to drive to town and grab some Pizza so if I don’t get odda here they’ll probably skin my hyde.

Christmas Day

Tuesday | Christmas Day_0:47

Christmas at the Broersma/Boeve family was great. We started out with a nice Breakfast dinner and then went right into opening the Christmas presents. I wasn’t expecting much but ended up getting a bunch of writable CD’s (with cases), film, computer screen wipes, and some kick’in gift certificates to Star Theater, American Eagle, and Barnes & Nobles :-) Thanks Wayne & Kathy!

Jodi also loved her gifts. I got her the movie Shrek, along with this frame set she wanted and a wooden frame that said ‘LOVE’ and had a picture of us in it . She made me a wonderful creative booklet that told me how much she loved me and later that night had a candle light picnic with Sparkling Juice. It was very special.

Christmas is a wonderful time of year not just for the receiving but also for the giving. Jamie (Jodi’s older brother) gave his girlfriend Erin an engagement ring and we also found out later that she was going to be having a baby - wow - what a night.

Later today Jodi and I will be heading over to my parents house for some holiday cheer. This is more than just a get together for jodi and I with my family - it’s also the first time she’s ever seen my house.

I can’t get into why she hasn’t already been inside the house I grew up in but it’s a pretty big step in our relationship. I understand if you aren’t following along.

So Christmas 1 is done and Christmas 2 is coming up in about 9 hours. Snow is on the ground and love is in the air. Keep the spirit alive in your own homes and don’t forget what Christmas is all about.

Christmas Shopping

Monday_16:21

Within 3 hours before Jodi and I were to have Christmas together I slipped away from her to buy some presents for her.

It’s not that I don’t care about her - I just had what I wanted to get her in my head and when realizing I had 3 hours until we were about to have Christmas I thought now would be a good time to leave and actually buy those gifts I had thought so hard about.

I can’t tell you what I got her just in case she reads this site before I go over to her house but I will tell ya that I braved some serious Christmas shopping traffic. Fearing for my life I made a pack to not look directly into anyone’s eyes and if the gift I wanted was the last one - I would fight until blood flew.

Luckily I didn’t have to fight but I did run into people I knew and they laughed at me for Christmas shopping with such little time left. I guess people don’t really understand what smart shopping is!!!

Wrapping the gifts had to the hardest part of this whole endeavor. I bought some wrapping paper but it wasn’t enough so I had to sneak up to my roommates room to steal - I mean… borrow some wrapping paper.

I’ve accomplished a task many men would not and will get the girl in the end. Geez, they should make a movie about this ;-)

Snow on the ground

Monday_0:13

Snow is on the ground and Christmas is just around the corner. For the longest time we’ve been without a white ground and today we finally got a small glimpse of what a real Christmas season looks like.

With this entire new atmosphere I’m hoping people move into a spirit of Christmas a bit more than they have been. In a conversation elsewhere - people explained how snow is a big ingredient of Christmas.

Even my hosting company has been getting into the holiday spirit and raised the amount of space each account gets while keeping the price the same.

I have the Econo Virtual Host account and where it used to be 100MB of space - I now get 250MB of space. As well as increasing the traffic to 25 GB and lowering the additional traffic

charge to 5 cents/MB and the additional storage charge to $1/MB.

That’s a pretty frigg’in good deal if you ask me. Plus I’m allowed to have 26 e-mail account. If any of you would like to have a ‘theparagon.org’ e-mail account all you have to do is ask. It takes only a minute for me to set up and it’s great if your hotmail, yahoo, msn, etc.. account give you alot of SPAM/SMUT mail.

I even have it set up so you can check your mail online. Just like yahoo or hotmail - but on my own server.

Anyways - I just thought I would say a Merry Christmas to you all before I went to bed :-)

MERRY CHRISTMAS !!!
